The life of a customer success leader is a rollercoaster. One minute you're celebrating a customer win, the next you're fielding a question about a feature or worse - worrying about other customers at the risk of churn. And I know not everyone likes rollercoasters, which is why I'm writing this blog - to cheer you hardworking heroes of CS. 🥹

I like making memes, I've been doing that for over 15 years now. I believe it's always good to have a chuckle when you're juggling between customer tasks. Me and my friend Hardeep compiled the 9 funniest Customer Success memes of 2024. Let's explore the lighter side of the Customer Success world. 😉

What it's like working in Customer Success

I am young, wild and free

That's what I used to tell myself sometime back. But ever since I've joined customer success, I feel kinda old. Like an old soul reading a book on a rocking chair. I'm 26, a Customer Success Manager.

I have successful QBR meetings

Well, not always. Sometimes the insights in the QBR deck lose the battle againsts customer eyelids. They may smile politely, but their eyes plead "please can we get this over with?" 🥱

But I have a weakness - Bad-fit Customers

Bad-fit customers are bad for business. Sounds obvious? Not to some sales guys I suppose. Oh you've signed a new deal? Congratulations! Look what they've done to my mental peace and work-life balance. I have no time to walk my dog Karen.

I hate the moments when the customer says a positive sentence and it has a "but" in it. During times like these, I have no idea whether to laugh or cry.

Are you even a Customer Success Manager if you get exactly what you want? Well I don't want a ton of things. Actually, I want only 1 thing - to get my customers agree on whatever I want. God I wish I had this superpower.
